Risk Point's Peter Moore is one of the Risk Managers that will form the panel at the “Risk Manager …This is Your Life!” session hosted by RMIA at the WA Insurance Expo Friday 15th April from 11.00 to 12.15pm. The panel comprises Risk Managers from variety of disciplines in both the private and public sectors, in a lively session covering how their career paths led them to their current roles as Risk Managers, what qualifications and experience they began with or gained along the way, and some of their more interesting risk management life experiences. Risk Point will be hosting a risk management briefing session on Friday March 18th at the Western Australia Club. The session is titled Achieving Successful Risk Management- “Control Freak or Cultural Change” Peter Moore will demonstrate ERA, Methodware's leading enterprise risk management software which is used by companies and organisations across the world. Risk Point is also pleased to have Mr Laurie Treloar, Head of Business Operations & Risk at the Australian Broadcasting Commission in Sydney as our guest speaker. Laurie will provide insights into management techniques and process of risk management used at the ABC.

Peter Moore presents to the Risk Management Institution of Australasia’s March members meeting on, “Achieving Certified Practicing Risk Manager Status”. His presentation focused on the application process and tools and tips for professionals aiming at achieving the CPRM.

October 2004

Risk Point presents a lecture at Murdoch University on Corporate Governance and Risk Management. The lecture will be given to final year accounting students and explore the relationship between risk management and corporate governance. As risk is part of what a public company must manage, its governance requirements under the Australian Stock Exchange (Principal 7) must be also be maintained. The lecture will address the regulatory and best practice requirements of risk management in the context of governance guidelines.

June 2004

Peter Moore presents to The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia at their Perth office on “Risk Management for Public Practitioners”. The presentation provides an overview of risk management and how Accountants can not only implement risk management systems in their practices, but also how they could better understand the risk profile of their clients.

March 2004

Peter Moore will be a guest speaker at the Australian Institute of Management’s March sundowner. The presentation is titled, “Risk Management and Corporate Governance….…What is it, who needs it, and what’s in it for you?” This presentation address the relationship between risk management and corporate governance and what organisations should achieve out of developing and implementing risk management and corporate governance systems.
