Risk Assessment
Risk assessments are carried
out for clients across a range of industries, and carried
out at both the project and enterprise level. At Risk Point, we
believe that risk management is as much about our clients gaining
an understanding about what may impact the achievement of their
objectives as it is about understanding the issues or risks that
they face on a day-to-day basis.
At the commencement of the
engagement the business or project goals and objectives are identified.
After the context for the risk assessment has been set, the risk
framework for the programme is established. Risks are identified
through either the interview or workshop process. Risks are entered
into Enterprise Risk Assessor (ERA),
specialised risk management software from Methodware. The risk
register is compiled via input from the client.
After all the risks have been identified,
they are assessed for the likelihood of the event or risk occurring
and the consequence or impact that the risk may have on the business
or project. Each risk is discussed and evaluated with controls
that are in place to prevent the risk from occurring. Each risk
is also analysed with regard to the organisational objectives
that may be impacted should the risk present itself.
